Title: Fantastic Mr. Fox
Author: Roald Dahl
This book is called 'Fantastic Mr. Fox', written by Roald Dahl, illustrated by Quentin Blake, the publisher is Puffin Book.
This book is talking about down in the valley there three farmers, they are farmer Boggis, Farmer Bunce and Farmer Bean. Boggis was a chicken farmer, Bunce was a duck and goose farmer and Bean was turkeys and apple farmer. Although these three farmers, on a hill above the valley there was a wood, in the wood there was a huge tree, under the tree there was a hole, in the hole lived Mr. Fox and their four Small Foxes. Every evening, Mr. Fox would say to Mrs. Fox, 'Well, my darling. What shall it be this time? A plump chicken from Boggis? A duck or goose from Bunce? Or a nice turkeyfrom Bean?' And when Mrs. Fox had told him what she wanted, Mr. Fox would creep down into the valley in the darkness of the night and help himself. The three farmers knew very well what was going on, and it made them wild with rage. They were not men who liked give anything away. Less still did they anything to be stolen from them. So every night each of them would take his shotgun and hide in a dark place somewhere on his own farm, hoping to catch the robber. But Mr. Fox was too clever for them. The three farmers hate Mr. Fox and planned to shoot, starve or dig him out of his hole. But Mr. Fox is much cleverer than they are and he has a curning plan of his own.
After reading this book, I think Mr. Fox is cleverer than the three farmers. We should learn from Mr. Fox and use some smart ways to deal with other tricky people.

Title: James and the Giant Peach
Author: Roald Dahl
This book is about a child who called James had an interesting adventure with some insects. In the story, James met the insects in the giant peach formed by magical things. With the giant peach, they travelled from England to the US. During the journey, James saw a lot of fabulous things such as the cloud man, the sea view of the Atlantic Ocean. After they arrived New York, they became celebrities and lived happily.
I think this book is awesome and dramatic because the adventure of James is quite mysterious and wonderful. James had a miserable childhood but he could have a fascinating trip with his insect friends. I like this book very much.

Title: The Witches
Author: Roald Dahl
I love this book very much because the imagination of the writer is extraordinary. Though the witches in the story are evil and even eat children, the content of the story is exciting and humourous. The main character of the story is an intelligent boy. He knew how to deal with the witches even he is just a child. The writer described the witches were hideous. Sometimes, the description made me feel sick. I am surprised that the witches in the story have no hair. They are bald! It is totally different from the film version. They came from Europe and with unique accent! I wished I could have a chance to meet these weird witches. I am willing to taste the free chocolate given by the witches even I would become a mouse after eating them. This book is highly recommended to everyone!

Title: The Twits
Author: Roald Dahl
I think this book is very interesting because I like to read books with horrible content. The two main characters, Mr. And Mrs. Twit, like to play horrible tricks on each other. They trapped birds for Bird Pie and they never wash. They like worms in spaghetti and eyeballs in drinks. They even have frogs on their beds. Sometimes, Mr. Twit will tie many balloons on Mrs. Twit’s hands and around her neck and let her fly. It was very horrible. But Mr. Twit thought it was interesting.
There are many stories in this book. They are all very interesting and but little bit horrible. Since I like horrible things, I recommend you to read this book.

Title: The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me
Author: Roald Dahl
This story is short, but it is funny and interesting. The words used in the book are simple and easy to understand, which suits students of every age. The pictures inside the book are also beautiful and nice. Roald Dahl’s books are full of imagination. You will never be bored.
There are three main characters in the book: The giraffe, the pelican, the monkey and Billy the narrator. Billy loves a wooden house so much. He wishes to have his own sweet-shop. One day, the wooden house came a giraffe, pelican and monkey and started a window-cleaning company. Pelly the pelican has a bucket-sized beak. With monkey to do the washing, giraffe as the ladder, Pelly as the water bucket, and Billy as their manager, they were invited to clean all 677 windows at the house of the Duke of Hampshire. The Duke himself is the richest man in England. At first, he had doubts in the cleaning business with the combination of animals and human. However, after such combination helps him to clean the windows and catch the jewellery thief, the he was fully satisfied and sending great rewards to them. With the help of the Duke, Billy finally got his own sweet-shop in the wooden house.
The story was fantastic with an amazing ending. Every one’s wishes come true: the Duke got his windows cleaned; the Duchess got her jewellery back; the police caught the fearsome burglar; the animals got their favourite food; Billy got his own sweet-shop. I love this book and will definitely recommend this book to my classmates.

Once upon a time, there was a boy. Not far from where he lives there is a old empty wooden house. Suddenly, a bathtub sailing out through one of the second-floor windows and crashed right on to the middle of the road. A few moments later, a lot of things were flying out of the same windows and crashed just beside the bathtub. A few days ago, a boy came back the wooden house and met a giraffe, a pelican and a monkey. The boy makes friends with them. After that, they got a job from the richest man in England. The man invited them to clean the six hundred and seventy-seven windows in his house. Then, they met a man and help him to clean the windows. After they clean all the windows, the man gave food to them and asked the boy to work in a shop. The boy agreed and worked in the shop. They were happy.
After I read this book, I learn many new words and rhetoric. This book is very lively and funny this help me easier to understand what is it saying for. This book is recommended that some of the poems help the reader to understand easily. The drawing is pretty. I like this book very much.

This is “The Adventures of Captain Underpants” which is written by Dav Pilkey. There are three main characters. They are George, Harold and Captain Underpants.
This story is about how George and Harold are blackmailed by Principal Krupp since Mr. Krupp had recorded how George and Harold stop the football competition from the beginning, such as sprinkling black pepper into cheerleader’s pom poms and pouring bubble bath into the marching band’s instruments. One day, they bought a Hypno-Ring to hypnotize Mr. Krupp so as to get back the evidence and damaged the video clip. Suddenly, Captain Underpants appeared outside the window. They followed him to the bank as something had happened.
When they arrived, two robots took Captain Underpants to a van and went to a warehouse consequently. Harold used a slingshot to shoot fake doggy doo doo at the robot. Captain stretched his underwear over the robots’ heads and escaped.
I love Captain Underpants since he is a hero. He used his pants to shot bad guys and punished them. He is so amusing. Although he stretched his pants out of shape to attack the robots, he did not worry and simply used machine to replace his pants. That is why I like him.
I do not like Harold and George as they are very naughty. They always disturb teachers and students. They do not think the result before doing bad things. They never realize that the things did by them are wrong. For example, they use the ring to hypnotize Mr Krupp to damage the video. After that, they still used this method to control people. They did not think they are doing something wrong. So I hate them.
I like this book very much, because it is very interesting. They are many ridiculous things that you will never think of. Can you imagine the two boys skateboarded with all their might toward the speeding van and grabbed Captain Underpants by the ankles? The book is not just a story, it has an art of Flip-O-Rama, too. This is a technique that makes readers feel like watching an animation. People can know the details of the story easily. Due to these reasons, I strongly recommend this book to all students.

Title: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Author: Roald Dahl
A story of an ordinary boy-Charlie Bucket. He was born in a very poor family, but he was the luckiest boy in the world.
About 15 years ago, Willy Wonka opened the largest chocolate factory(Mr Wonka’s inventions) in the world but spies stole his secret recipes, so closed the factory in a pet. Actually, it was still working inside the factory. He suddenly decided to allow 5 children in to visit the factory and one of them would win a special prize in the end. The 5 children had to find one of the five golden tickets hidden beneath the ordinary wrapping paper of five ordinary Wonka bars. So, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee and Charlie Bucket won the tickets and visited the factory.
“Accidents”happened while the five children were on the guided tour. The children except Charlie got into a series of trouble or were injured due to their greed for delicious candies.
Charlie won the prize-----Willy Wonka’s factory!!!!!The only requirement was that Charlie would have to move into the factory and never see his family again. He declined Wonka’s offer because he loved his family very much. However, after Wonka was encouraged to make contact with his estranged father, he realized how important family can be, so he invited Charlie’s entire family to move into the factory together.
In my opinion, Dahl doesn't hide the fact that the world can be a grim and unfair place. Charlie's depressing life of poverty at the beginning of the novel reflects this bleak view. But, also in the best fairy-tale tradition, Dahl appeals to the strong sense of natural justice in children, and invites them to revel in a marvelously imagined world where people, both good and bad, get exactly what they deserve. It's also a place where they make "eatable marshmallow pillows," "hot ice cream for cold days," "fizzy lifting drinks" that make you float, and "rainbow drops" that let you "spit in six different colours." And, in the end, it's just the place for Charlie.
